Construction companies civil engineers and contractors require numerous other types of body work in order to complete their various projects.
Plant transporters, cabin and site storage transport, refuelling and maintenance units to name but a few.
At Abba we enjoy nothing more than to employ our advanced design and manufacturing equipment on projects such as these.
Many of the materials we employ in the manufacture of our high quality tipping bodies are utilised in these builds, Domex high strength steel for example, assists us to produce strong light equipment.
Many of these products require lorry loader installations, Abba work closely with some of the worlds largest lorry loader manufactures to provide the best solution for the job at hand. Hiab from Sweden, HMF from Denmark, and PM from Italy feature amongst our partners on many of these projects.
Lorry loader sub-frames are custom built at both our Dover and St Helens plants, our profiling and pressing equipment enables us to produce pierced longitudinals, leading to lower, stronger decks. The truck is built as a single cohesive unit by one contractor.
A specially designed lorry loader sub-frame built in Brinnel 450 material helped B.R.Saunders, a PM dealer and specialist haulier from Walton on Thames achieve a thirteen tonne payload on this Volvo 8x4 site accommodation and cabin transporter
A Hiab 099 lorry loader was installed at Abba’s Dover plant followed by a bespoke body, designed to service Tarmac’s construction crews in Suffolk.
Built on an Iveco Stralis 6x2 rear air suspension chassis, this Abba beaver tail body features, Hydraulic ramps, winch and lorry loader. Built for Charles Wilson Engineers, the vehicle is designed to distribute plant and equipment from CWE hire centres.
